Institutional Effectiveness Criterion: Partnership
External Partnerships
ҹèÊÓÆµ shall develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the communities it serves to create a learning-centered college that meets the needs of its students and stakeholders. To this end, ҹèÊÓÆµ shall effectively communicate with its communities. ҹèÊÓÆµ shall raise resources to support strategic initiatives. ҹèÊÓÆµ shall develop meaningful relationships with partners in seeking out potential areas for improvement. The partnership criteria assesses the extent to which ҹèÊÓÆµ shall effectively build relationships with educational institutions, businesses, service organizations, other agencies, alumni and the general community to fulfill its mission.
In support of the strategic plan, the President shall exercise and promote innovative and creative leadership to support partnership at ҹèÊÓÆµ. In so doing the President is hereby granted full authority and autonomy by the Board of Trustees to utilize College resources to that end in any manner deemed appropriate, so long as the President exercises prudent judgment, ethical and lawful behavior, and reasonable interpretation of this policy.
If any provision(s) of this policy or set of bylaws conflicts with laws applicable to ҹèÊÓÆµ, including the Community College Act of 1966, the Freedom of Information Act, or the Open Meetings Act, as each may be amended from time to time, such laws shall control and supersede such provision(s).
